In the past twenty years hundreds of infants and young children have died after being left in vehicles, usually by accident. When turning the vehicle off, drivers of the 1500 RHO are reminded to check the back seat if they opened the rear door before starting out. The Cybertruck doesn’t offer a back seat reminder.

To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, Full-Time Four-Wheel Drive is standard on the 1500 RHO. But it costs extra on the Cybertruck.

The Ram 1500 RHO has Daytime Running Lights to help keep it more visible under all conditions. Canadian government studies show that driving with lights during the day reduces accidents by 11% by making vehicles more conspicuous. The Cybertruck doesn’t offer Daytime Running Lights.

The 1500 RHO has standard 9-1-1 Call, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to remotely unlock your doors if you lock your keys in or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The Cybertruck doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the 1500 RHO and the Cybertruck have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, available around view monitors and driver alert monitors.

There are almost 12 times as many Ram dealers as there are Tesla dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the 1500 RHO’s warranty.

A reliable vehicle saves its owner time, money and trouble. Nobody wants to be stranded or have to be without a vehicle while it’s being repaired. Consumer Reports rates the 1500 RHO’s reliability 12 points higher than the Cybertruck.

The 1500 RHO’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The Cybertruck doesn’t offer launch control.

For better stopping power the 1500 RHO’s brake rotors are larger than those on the Cybertruck:

1500 RHO

Cybertruck

Front Rotors

15 inches

13.8 inches

Rear Rotors

15 inches

14 inches

In an emergency stopping situation, many drivers don’t press the brakes with enough force to stop the vehicle in the shortest distance. The 1500 RHO has standard Brake Assist to detect emergency braking situations (by how hard and how quickly the brake pedal is pressed) and then automatically apply maximum braking immediately in order to help prevent a collision. The Cybertruck doesn’t offer a brake assist feature.

For better traction, the 1500 RHO has larger tires than the Cybertruck (325/65R18 vs. 285/65R20).

The 1500 RHO has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The Cybertruck doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

The 1500 RHO has a standard full size spare so a flat doesn’t interrupt your work or a trip. A full size spare costs extra on the Cybertruck. Without the option you must depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.

The front and rear suspension of the 1500 RHO uses air springs for a smoother, controlled ride than the Cybertruck Long Range 4x2, which uses coil springs. Air springs maintain proper ride height and ride more smoothly.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the 1500 RHO’s wheelbase is 2 inches longer than on the Cybertruck (145.1 inches vs. 143.1 inches).

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the 1500 RHO is 4.6 inches wider in the front and 4.2 inches wider in the rear than on the Cybertruck.

The 1500 RHO has standard seating for 6 passengers; the Cybertruck can only carry 5.

The 1500 RHO has 6.2 inches more front hip room, 2.7 inches more front shoulder room, .8 inches more rear headroom, 3.9 inches more rear legroom, 6.2 inches more rear hip room and 3.6 inches more rear shoulder room than the Cybertruck.

For enhanced passenger comfort on long trips the 1500 RHO’s available rear seats recline. The Cybertruck’s rear seats don’t recline.

The Cybertruck’s spare tire is stored in the cargo area, where it diminishes the useable cargo capacity and interferes with loading and unloading. The 1500 RHO’s spare is out of the way underneath.

The 1500 RHO’s cargo box is larger than the Cybertruck’s in almost every dimension:

The Ram 1500 RHO has a standard tailgate assist feature, which prevents the heavy tailgate from falling with a crash and causing injury. It allows adults and children to easily open and close the tailgate with one hand to better facilitate loading and unloading. The Tesla Cybertruck doesn’t offer a tailgate assist.

The Ram 1500 RHO has a standard Fold-Out Bumper Step, which folds out and allows for much easier access to the cargo area. The Tesla Cybertruck doesn’t offer a rear cargo step.

The 1500 RHO has bed indentations that accommodate 2x4’s for two-tiered loading to help accommodate diverse loads; the Cybertruck doesn’t offer two-tiered loading. The 1500 RHO also has indentations to separate the cargo box into three different sections length-wise.

To make loading and unloading groceries and cargo easier, especially for short adults, the 1500 RHO offers an optional power cargo door, which opens and closes automatically by pressing a button. The Cybertruck doesn’t offer a power cargo door.

The 1500 RHO’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the Cybertruck’s (8360 vs. 7500 pounds).

The 1500 RHO offers an optional heads-up display that projects speed, tachometer, navigation instruction and driver assistance information readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The Cybertruck doesn’t offer a heads-up display.

The 1500 RHO’s standard side window demisters help clear frost or condensation from the side windows in the winter. The Cybertruck doesn’t even offer side window demisters, so the driver may have to wipe the windows from the outside to gain side vision.

Optional air conditioned front and rear seats keep the 1500 RHO’s passengers comfortable and take the sting out of hot leather in summer. The Cybertruck doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats in the rear.

The 1500 RHO offers optional massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the Cybertruck.

The 1500 RHO is equipped with both FM and AM stereo radios, offering access to more content and better coverage than the Cybertruck, which solely provides FM radio. With AM radio, you can enjoy a wider variety of stations featuring news, talk shows, sports commentary, native language programing, automated traffic guidance, and emergency broadcasts. AM waves travel further and penetrate buildings and obstacles more effectively than FM signals, especially at night. Having both FM and AM stereo radios the 1500 RHO offers a more comprehensive listening experience compared to only FM in the Cybertruck.

HD Radio boasts several benefits over conventional radio: superior sound quality with clearer and consistent FM broadcasts, CD-quality audio, and Multicast Channels offering up to four streams from a single station, adding programming choices. Cars like the 1500 RHO equipped with HD Radio provide an improved in-car entertainment experience. The Cybertruck, devoid of this technology, foregoes these benefits. Selecting the Ram 1500 RHO empowers drivers to enjoy a more immersive and enjoyable listening experience while on the go.
